Helen Tilbury lives in Durban & has been scrapbooking for the last 6 years. She is married with four children, 2 girls & 2 boys, aged 16, 14, 11 & 9. She scrapbooks at every available opportunity & has created dozens of albums celebrating family life.
She has always been involved in all things creative & is a Fashion Designer by profession. After working in the clothing industry for numerous years she has been involved in various other artistic ventures, including textile printing, ceramic painting, interior & landscape design.
She won 2 finalist places in the South African Talent Search Competition, held at the Sandton Convention Centre in September 2008, judged by a panel of International Scrapbooking teachers & celebrities.
Currently she is a Design Team member of 2 online design teams. Journaling Junkie (a Cape Town based site designed to challenge scrapbookers to put pen to paper more often & in more detail) and Little Shop of Sketches (a New Zealand based sketch challenge site).

She is an active member of the online scrapbooking community, having had her own blog for 9 months. Her favourite scrapbookers are Ali Edwards(USA) , Mou Saha (USA)Wilna Furstenberg (Canada) & Shimelle Laine (UK). Her go-to scrapbooking supplies are Bazzill Basics Cardstock & American Crafts Thickers alpha stickers & she is a self-confessed ribbon junkie. Her style is versatile as she regularly designs layouts for both girl & boy photos, as well as "little girl" layouts & trendy teen ones. She favours simplicity but also loves using embellishments in collage-type clusters on her own designs. Next to scrapbooking, she loves photography, blogging,reading Scrapbooking books & magazines & is constantly experimenting with new techniques.
